Me=Kewl
There are 121 bloggers listed under the People/Society category here in Tripod.

I've been through Diaryland, Pitas and LiveJournal. With them being so freaking huge, I've always felt like a piece of lint shoved tightly with many other pieces of lint in the lint catcher of a dryer (what do you call those things?). Here, I feel like I've discovered and joined a secret cabana in an unknown area...

I feel sooooooo cool.

Reality Shows
To quote Don Burns of Don Burns Homepage:

"Anybody watched any of those new shows like "The Bachelor" or "Joe Millionaire" or "The Survivor". Before they started calling it "Reality TV" we used to call it lying and fraud."

GAWD I love bloggers!

Are you better off than you were 2 years ago?
I like Bush. I believe that almost every decision that got tossed in his lap are the ones where people would hate him no matter what side of the fence he chose.

However, I'm not one to be ignorant of all sides of any issue, which is why this made me go hmmm. Let me sleep on this one.

Streisand Needs to Go. Now.
Read this. In my upcoming list of celebrities who need to go away, Barbara Streisand is definitely on it. In bold.

I'll create blinkies to convey the message if I have to.

My Words Have Power!
I am very happy to announce that I ended up to be one of the very many who flooded Mr. Jan Herman with "hate" letters about Sean Penn (although I feel that my letter was more constructive than hateful).

Goes to tell you, words of one can end up to be words of the many, thus changing the world.

Well hey, if that doesn't make sense, just leave it as an excuse to justify a loud, opinionated mouth.

Maybelline and a Stinky Kitty
I went to Rite-Aide for the sole purpose of buying nail polish. I came back with the nail polish, Dry Kwik, lip stick and lip liner.

Now, I've been buying Origin products for years; however, due to funding I've had to downgrade majorly... Like down to Maybelline.

Since when did Maybelline come out with kick ass lip liners? I got the Lip Express Lipstick 'n Liner in One and it's just kick ass.

Next subject: my new cat. You can have a three feet high pile of crap from my two other cats and not beat a teeny little sausage from my kitten. Man, she is ripe and it concerns me. I can have a fresh clean kitty litter smelling so nice with deoderizer and take about a week and a half two stink it up with Cat #1 and Cat#2. This one kitty stinks it up just from walking by a virginal box. Unbelievable.

Barnes and Noble

Because I can't seem to react nicely to stupid people, I wrote a little note to this idiot who posted a review of Hillary Clinton's new book (which interests me greatly) on Barnes and Noble.

This is what "Patsy" wrote:

"My critical review of the title is based on what I remember about Hillary from the campaign trail and her comment, 'I am not a stand by your man kind of woman' in a mocking southern drawl - to reality, which was not only standing by her man but fighting like crazy for her man. Living History? I suppose history was made during the Clinton administration. President Clinton was impeached. But it was all because of a 'right wing conspiracy' according to Hillary. I think the title is a sad title for Mrs. Clinton because it sounds like she will re-write history. I have heard rumors that she didn't really write the book. I can't wait to read it!"

And this is what I wrote in response last night:

"Patsy, are you a US citizen? While I may believe that the US is behind in academic scores, I would be fully embarrassed by you if you truly believed that former President Clinton was impeached. For even a regular day-to-day uneducated nimbot would know that although there was talk of impeachment, CLINTON SERVED TO HIS THE END OF HIS FULL TERM. Your "opinion" seems to be based on "facts" as far as the game of telephone could twist any facets of the history which resulted in what you believe. And of course Mrs. Clinton didn't write this book. Most autobiographies are written by ghost writers; every one knows that. My advice to you is, get out more. Even if it's your own back yard. Second: if you should feel the need to preach your opinions to an environment where they may be deemed credible, try a comedy club. As far as this book is concerned, I'm very excited to acquire it! Sure she may have been accused of lying, cheating, etc. but she is a strong and amazingly intelligent woman (up there with Condoleezza Rice!) who is courageous enough to share her story with us."

As of last night, the comments were posted for the world to ogle at here, but to my surprise the B&N staff pulled BOTH of our "reviews" today (how much they get paid for that?). I didn't really think that B&N paid attention that that kind of stuff, but I was obviously wrong.

Oh, the censorship!

Sean Penn
The following is an email I sent in response to an article located here regarding Sean Penn's full-page ad published in the New York Times.

"Criticism is expected in everything you do as a successful actor, from the projects you participate in, to where you vacation, whom you date and whether or not your panty lines show in your Oscar dress. But to be so shocked at the charges of treason by critics for traveling Iraq, an enemy of the country whose citizenship he holds, thinks much too highly of himself.

I vastly detest actors who feel that since they are a well-known and successful actor, they have a platform which they should use to push people join their views. Because we "little people" can't think for ourselves. I'm sure if you bring this accusation up to Mr. Penn's presence, he will fly off the handle on how he's not better than the rest of us "down here". Yet he throws money at the New York Times to defend his pride and the stupidity he invested in his actions, when that money could have benefited many charities as he so preached in the article that Mr. Bridget Fonda of 2003 (remember Bridget Fonda and Vietnam?) surprisingly has the brains to write."

This is coming from a man who played a raping/murdering role in Casualties of War. And as much as I adore her, he also married Madonna. To think, he can think for himself! Or did he?

Welcome to My Asylum
While I may be quiet and distant in real life, this is the nicely cushioned room where I allow my obnoxiously judgemental and opinionated clone to run free admist the field of wildflowers. I even chose a nice tangerine color to make her a little happy. We'll see if it works.

P.S. If you can't understand sarcasm and/or are easily offended, for the sake of your mental and physical well-being, please move on. You've been warned.
